This semester has started out with a surprising amount of roommate, bathroom and community space issues. While dealing with roommate issues has some different processes per institution, I am struggling with how to teach my residents respect for community space. With that said, I am seeking out ways to handle this problem. It might be important to note that my hall consists of all women.
Here are the specific issues:
- Kitchens: Residents are taking food from the refrigerator that does not belong to them.
- Bathrooms: Residents are leaving personal products, toilet paper and paper towels on the floor.
- Common spaces: PIZZA BOXES… These get left every weekend. I have been using recipes to contact residents, but am looking for other strategies that are more preemptive.
Please help!
